Phil oversees the strategic direction of the company and serves as its Principal Broker. He has over 30 years of industry experience in the areas of real estate operations, finance and investment. He purchased the company in 1985 and has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Barcus Company since.
An industry veteran, Phil's real estate expertise includes acquisition management, financing restructuring and facilitation, brokerage representation, real estate tax appeal, market analysis and investment search and analysis. Phil has broad experience in management, sales, and leasing of commercial and industrial properties, as well as conventional and affordable multifamily housing.
Phil served as the President of the Columbus Apartment Association, Treasurer of the CAA, President of the CAA Charitable Assistance Foundation and Trustee for the Ohio Apartment Association for multiple years.
Phil is the author of Guidebooks for Officers and Guidebook for Trustees for which the Columbus Apartment Association received the prestigious National Paragon Award for excellence from the National Apartment Association.

Diane has been in the accounting and business administration profession since 1987. Her expertise includes many aspects of the real estate management industry such as financial management, accounting, human resources and compliance.

Tonya Froehlich, Broker, COS, Realtor®
Vice President – Management Operations
A Graduate cum Laude of The Ohio State University, Tonya has worked in the property management business since 2007 when she first joined the Barcus Company. Her experience has included positions as Property Manager, Compliance Specialist, Director of Property Management, Maintenance Management, and Regional Manager.
In this position Tonya is fully responsible for all the Company’s property management accounts, including affordable, market rate, and tax credit multi-family, along with other commercial properties.

Randi Cutshall, COSA, FHS, CMH
Compliance Manager
Randi joined the Company in 2011. She is primarily responsible for monitoring site compliance of the Company’s affordable, market rate, and tax credit multi-family properties. This includes special claims management, HUD liaison, housing assistance contract renewals, and resident file auditing. Randi is 504 Coordinator and EIV Coordinator.
Randi began her career as a property manager with The Barcus Company. After 7 years in the property manager position, she took over the role as compliance specialist before her promotion to Compliance Manger.
